Position Description & Requirements

ABOUT ACTION AGAINST HUNGER:

Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organization implementing health, nutrition, WASH, MHPSS, food security and livelihoods, and social protection programmes in Nigeria.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Grants and Compliance Manager will oversee key aspects of grant management from pre-award through post-award, ensuring donor compliance, timely and quality reporting, effective coordination and proper grant documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Support grants management and compliance throughout programme implementation and ensure internal and external reports are submitted on time and are coherent and accurate.
2.Support the Field Coordinator in collecting programme contributions, coordinating technical reviews and ensuring validated reports are properly disseminated and filed.
3.Maintain complete hard and electronic files for the ACF Nigeria grant portfolio from grant inception through closure.
4.Support the preparation and implementation of grant opening, closing and regular grants management meetings and ensure follow-up of agreed actions.
5.Coordinate with programme, finance, logistics, security, M&E and other departments to ensure grant requirements are understood and fulfilled.
6.Support partnership development and management, including partner selection and supervision processes.
7.Monitor donor compliance requirements and support teams in meeting reporting and documentation obligations.
8.Contribute to effective internal and external coordination relating to grant management.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in International Development, Social Studies, Economics, Humanitarian Assistance, Rural Development, Geography, Agriculture, Livestock or a related field.
2.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3.Minimum of 2 years of humanitarian experience.
4.Strong grant management, reporting and coordination skills.
5.Good written and verbal communication skills.
6.Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
