JOB SUMMARY:

The Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring a functional and compliant finance structure within the NRC Nigeria country office. The role supports programme implementation through financial planning and analysis, allocation of financial resources, budget control, cash-flow monitoring and compliance with organisational, donor and audit requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Oversee implementation of finance policies, procedures, strategies and initiatives across the country and area offices to ensure consistency, compliance and effective financial management.

2.Provide line management and technical supervision to finance staff, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, induction and staff development.

3.Develop and maintain country financial documents, procedures, guidance and tools while ensuring alignment with NRC organisational standards.

4.Maintain overall country budget control, monitor cash flows and ensure budgeting, accounting, year-end procedures and other financial processes comply with NRC policies, the Financial Handbook and donor and auditor requirements.

5.Train and develop NRC staff and partners on financial and budgeting responsibilities and support effective implementation of the Anti-Corruption Policy across finance operations. UN Vacancies

REQUIREMENTS:

1.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior finance role with managerial responsibility in a humanitarian or recovery context.

2.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

3.Working proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

4.Previous experience in Central and West Africa is preferred.

5.Experience in risk management with implementing partners.

6.Experience in remote management.

7.Strong financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis and compliance skills.

8.Ability to work effectively in an insecure and changing humanitarian environment. DevNetJobs
