ABOUT VISTA INITIATIVE

Vision for Inclusive Solutions and Transparency Initiative (VISTA Initiative) is a humanitarian and development organisation supporting vulnerable populations through community-based programmes and interventions.

JOB SUMMARY

The Field Support Assistant will support project implementation, coordination, programme monitoring, documentation and reporting in the assigned duty station while working closely with project staff and community stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support field coordination and implementation of project activities.
  • Monitor programme activities within the assigned location.
  • Document field activities, community meetings and programme engagements.
  • Prepare and submit field updates and routine activity reports.
  • Coordinate with project teams and relevant community stakeholders.
  • Provide general field support for effective implementation of humanitarian and development interventions.
  • Assist with collection and organisation of field information.
  • Support communication between field communities and project teams.
  • Use appropriate digital tools for field documentation and monitoring.
  • Escalate field challenges and implementation concerns to the relevant supervisor.
  • For the Bayo duty station, support coordination and oversight of VISTA activities across Southern Borno where required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Applicant should currently reside in the location for which they are applying.
  • Minimum OND/NCE or another relevant qualification; higher qualifications are advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of digital tools.
  • Understanding of monitoring and field-based activities.
  • Ability to work with project teams and community stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to undertake field responsibilities within the assigned area.
  • Genuine interest in humanitarian and development work.
