JOB SUMMARY

The Field Officer will enrol eligible caregivers at public clinics and support a conditional cash-transfer programme promoting routine childhood vaccination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enrol beneficiaries using strict programme criteria.
  • Maintain accurate cash and enrolment records.
  • Explain the child’s next vaccination date.
  • Confirm that vaccinations are provided and properly documented.
  • Report vaccine and supply stockouts.
  • Conduct health talks for caregivers.
  • Prevent beneficiary and clinic-level fraud.
  • Prevent unauthorised out-of-catchment enrolment.
  • Submit clinic, immunisation, cash and expense reports.
  • Review child-health cards, registers and tally sheets.
  • Track caregivers who miss vaccination appointments.
  • Conduct awareness, survey and rapid-assessment activities.
  • Build relationships with clinic workers, traditional leaders and government officials.
  • Identify and report enrolment barriers.
  • Report fraud, supply and security concerns.
  • Follow security procedures and complete assigned training.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nigerian citizen already residing in Kano State.
  • Minimum of a National Diploma.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Health or Natural Sciences is preferred.
  • Fluency in Hausa and relevant Kano dialects.
  • Experience with routine immunisation or clinic records is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel to remote clinics using public transport.
  • Good cash-management and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, smartphones and digital communication.
