New Incentives / All Babies Are Equal Initiative is looking to identify Field Officers to support its programme dedicated to preventing child mortality in Bauchi State.
The Field Officers will support a cash transfer programme that encourages mothers to complete their infants’ immunisation schedules. The role involves enrolling beneficiaries at public clinics and supporting programme implementation in cooperation with state health authorities.
Applicants must already be based or resident in Bauchi State. Target towns include Ningi, Zaki, Dass, Kirfi, Katagum, Jama’are, Ganjuwa, Itas/Gadau, Bogoro, Giade, Misau, Alkaleri, Tafawa-Balewa, Gamawa, Toro, Bauchi, Dambam, Shira, Warji and Darazo.
Key responsibilities include enrolling eligible beneficiaries, monitoring immunisation sessions, interacting with clinic staff and caregivers, conducting rapid assessments, managing cash reports, coaching caregivers, preventing fraud, reviewing clinic records, reporting supply issues, tracking defaulters, conducting settlement activities, maintaining relationships with community leaders and clinic staff, and following security procedures.
Required qualifications include fluency in Hausa and local Bauchi languages, Nigerian nationality, residence in Bauchi State, minimum National Diploma, preferably a degree in Health or Natural Sciences, willingness to work at remote public clinics, familiarity with the Nigerian health system, attention to detail, good writing skills and ability to use smartphones and basic ICT tools.
