OVERVIEW
Action Against Hunger Nigeria is recruiting an experienced Field Coordinator to provide strategic leadership for programme delivery, operational support functions, security management, government engagement and partnership development in Katsina State.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and coordinate integrated humanitarian and recovery programmes in line with Action Against Hunger's country strategy.
- Ensure sound project-cycle management and effective implementation of approved workplans through the supervision of Programme Managers.
- Coordinate programme assessments, evaluations, concept notes, funding proposals and donor reports.
- Identify opportunities for programme expansion, partnerships and resource mobilisation.
- Lead, motivate and supervise field teams and coordinate technical support from Abuja-based departments.
- Monitor operational, programme and security challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Support security planning, staff briefings, emergency preparedness and crisis management.
- Oversee field-level Human Resources, Finance, Logistics, procurement, fleet and supply-chain functions.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, donor regulations and Nigerian laws.
- Represent Action Against Hunger in Katsina and engage government authorities, partners and humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
- Map, assess and support local implementing partners, including capacity development and performance monitoring.
- Ensure effective reporting, documentation, accountability and complaint-response mechanisms.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, International Development, Humanitarian Response or a related field.
- Minimum of five years' experience with international NGOs in insecure contexts.
- Previous Action Against Hunger emergency or post-emergency experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing large multicultural teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and diplomacy skills; stakeholder engagement and partnership-development ability; sound judgement; adaptability; strategic thinking; problem solving; and excellent writing, reporting and documentation skills.
