Expression of Interest: External Audit Engagement – SPA II Project

ActionAid Nigeria invites eligible audit firms to submit an expression of interest for the external audit of the SPA II Project.

Scope of work:

• Review project accounting records and test material transactions.
• Verify expenditure against approved budgets and donor requirements.
• Assess compliance with applicable statutory, contractual and international audit standards.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify weaknesses or areas for improvement.
• Issue audited financial statements, an independent audit opinion and a management letter.
• Present findings and practical recommendations to relevant management, board and donor stakeholders.

Eligibility:

• Big Four audit firm operating in Nigeria.
• Demonstrated experience auditing NGOs and donor-funded projects.
• Capacity to conduct the assignment to applicable statutory and international standards.
• At least three relevant professional references.

Required submission documents:

• Technical and financial proposals.
• Firm profile, registrations and professional certifications.
• Three relevant references.
• CAC registration documents and current tax clearance certificate.
• Evidence of previous INGO audit assignments.
• Audited accounts for 2025.
