ABOUT GEPaDC
Gender Equality, Peace and Development Centre (GEPaDC) is a Nigerian non-governmental, non-political and non-religious organisation established in 2008 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2010.
The organisation works to advance gender equality, empower women and girls, promote peace and sustainable development, and support vulnerable and conflict-affected populations.
GEPaDC works across humanitarian response, protection, gender-based violence prevention and response, education, livelihoods, peacebuilding, women’s rights and community development.

JOB PURPOSE
The Enumerator will support field-level data collection for an endline assessment in selected communities across MMC, Jere and Mafa LGAs of Borno State.
Selected candidates will support the collection of accurate and complete information from respondents using the assessment tools and procedures provided by the research or MEAL team.
The information collected during the assessment will contribute to measuring project results and documenting changes at the end of the intervention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Selected Enumerators are expected to support endline assessment activities, which may include:
- Participate in orientation and training before field deployment.
- Understand the purpose, methodology and tools for the assessment.
- Visit assigned communities and respondents according to the fieldwork plan.
- Administer approved questionnaires and other data-collection tools.
- Conduct interviews professionally and respectfully.
- Explain the purpose of the assessment to respondents.
- Obtain appropriate consent before conducting interviews.
- Collect accurate, complete and reliable information.
- Follow the sampling and respondent-selection procedures provided by supervisors.
- Enter responses correctly using the approved paper or electronic data-collection platform.
- Review completed questionnaires before submission.
- Submit collected data within the required timelines.
- Report field challenges, refusals or inconsistencies to the assigned supervisor.
- Participate in daily field-team debriefing where required.
- Maintain confidentiality of respondent information.
- Follow safeguarding, protection and research-ethics requirements.
- Avoid influencing or suggesting answers to respondents.
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with communities.
- Work closely with supervisors and other members of the assessment team.
QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should possess the educational qualification appropriate to their background and demonstrate the ability to undertake field-based data-collection activities.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Candidates with the following skills or experience may have an advantage:
- Previous enumeration or data-collection experience.
- Experience conducting household or community surveys.
- Familiarity with KoboCollect, KoboToolbox, ODK or similar digital data-collection platforms.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate with community members respectfully.
- Knowledge of MMC, Jere or Mafa communities.
- Ability to work independently and within a field team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and assessment protocols.
- Understanding of confidentiality and informed consent.
- Ability to work under tight fieldwork timelines.
Local-language ability relevant to the selected communities may also be useful for field data collection.
