JOB SUMMARY
IITA seeks a reliable Driver to provide safe and timely transportation for project staff, consultants, partners, visitors, materials and equipment. The role will maintain assigned vehicles, keep complete operational records and support logistics for field activities across Ogun State.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide safe and timely transportation for project personnel, partners and authorised visitors.
- Transport project materials, equipment and supplies to field locations and other approved destinations.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, secure, roadworthy and properly maintained.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and promptly report faults, accidents or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel-consumption records, maintenance records and trip documentation.
- Support timely servicing, repairs, insurance renewals and vehicle licensing.
- Observe traffic regulations and IITA road-safety procedures at all times.
- Support logistics for trainings, workshops, field visits, stakeholder meetings and other project activities.
- Ensure the safe handling of passengers, confidential documents and equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading project materials when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct throughout every assignment.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate.
- Valid driving licence appropriate to the assigned vehicle class.
- Clean driving record.
- At least three years of professional driving experience.
- Previous driving experience with an NGO, government agency or corporate organisation is preferred.
- Additional training in vehicle maintenance is an advantage.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS AND REMUNERATION
- Contract: Two-year renewable contract.
- Duty station: Ogun State, Nigeria.
- Work arrangement: On-site, with frequent local travel.
