JOB SUMMARY

The Demand Generation Officer will coordinate state-level communication and RMNCAEH+N demand-generation activities and manage partnerships that improve service awareness, acceptance and use across Abia State.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate state implementation planning and activities across LGAs with health educators, mobilisation officers and family-planning coordinators.
  • Provide demand-generation technical assistance to state and LGA health teams, partners, stakeholders and investors.
  • Engage SBCC, ACSM, advocacy, interfaith and other groups to strengthen programme acceptance, ownership, male support and service integration.
  • Support institutionalisation of high-impact RMNCAEH strategies and solutions.
  • Coordinate engagement with state and local media.
  • Support and supervise demand-generation agents.
  • Capture testimonials and stories and manage content and consent processes.
  • Collect and report above-the-line and below-the-line communication data.
  • Promote family-planning and women’s reproductive-health interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Public Health, Communications, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field.
  • At least five years’ experience supporting women to initiate and continue family-planning services, particularly injectables and other short-term methods.
  • Strong mobilisation and promotional skills.
  • Health-system-strengthening, monitoring and evaluation experience is advantageous.
  • Significant knowledge of family planning and women’s reproductive health in Nigeria.
  • Stakeholder knowledge, report writing, data interpretation, supervision and mentoring skills.
  • Integrity, teamwork, openness to new ideas, organisation and strong interpersonal skills.
