ABOUT IMPACT23 INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT FOUNDATION
Impact23 International Support Foundation works to empower individuals and communities through education, mentorship, skills development, humanitarian support, food security and collaboration.
ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY
Impact23 seeks 25 Online Volunteers to support data collection on development programmes, beneficiaries, activities, outcomes and Sustainable Development Goal indicators. The work will support monitoring, reporting, analysis and evidence-based decisions.
- Engagement: Online volunteering; unpaid and non-contractual
- Number of assignments: 25
- Location: Remote; assignment country is Nigeria
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Time commitment: 16–20 hours weekly
- Recruitment: Competitive
- Host organisation selects the volunteers; UNV is not involved in selection or collaboration
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Discuss and define the data-collection objective and methodology with the Programme Coordinator.
- Develop or identify appropriate data-collection tools and propose an implementation plan where required.
- Identify and screen reliable data sources.
- Collect data using the agreed methodology and tools.
- Organise and verify information on programmes, beneficiaries, activities, outcomes and indicators.
- Prepare a report presenting the findings.
- Support improved data availability, accountability, monitoring and programme decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- In-depth understanding of data-collection concepts.
- Experience conducting qualitative and/or quantitative data collection.
- An advanced degree relevant to the subject of the data is advantageous.
- Professional spoken and written English is required.
- Ability to work remotely and meet the stated weekly commitment.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Online Volunteers are not UN Volunteers and receive no allowance or employment entitlements.
- Successful volunteers receive a certificate of appreciation.
