Alliance Française de Lagos is a nonprofit cultural and language institution supported by the Embassy of France in Nigeria. It provides French-language teaching, administers official examinations and promotes Nigerian and francophone cultures through events and cultural programming.

JOB SUMMARY

The Cultural Representative opportunity is for an NYSC member available to serve full-time at the Alliance Française centre in Ikoyi. The role supports the centre’s cultural-facing work and requires professionalism, communication skills, technical confidence and an interest in arts and cultural exchange.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support approved cultural programmes, events and related coordination activities.
• Assist with communication and practical preparation for cultural activities.
• Welcome and guide participants, visitors, artists or partners during assigned activities.
• Help maintain accurate event or activity records and follow-up information.
• Provide basic technical and administrative support connected to cultural programming.
• Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to a professional visitor experience.
• Carry out other culture-related support tasks assigned by the centre.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be a serving NYSC member who meets the official announcement’s eligibility requirements.
• Technical proficiency and the ability to use common digital and office tools.
• Interest in cultural programming, the arts and Nigerian-francophone exchange.
• Good communication, teamwork, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work full-time at the Ikoyi centre.
• Professional conduct, initiative and willingness to learn.
• Candidates living in Ikoyi or nearby areas will be prioritised.
