Consultant, Africa Programming

The United Nations Global Compact Office is recruiting a Consultant for Africa Programming based in Abuja. The consultant will support the development and delivery of the Global Compact’s programming portfolio within the Africa Hub.

The consultant will coordinate regional and cross-country programmes, including events, accelerators, Academy content regionalisation and other initiatives that support private sector organisations to embed human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption principles in their operations and strategies.

Key responsibilities include coordinating programme delivery across the region, serving as an interlocutor between Headquarters and Country Networks, supporting the development of regional and country value propositions for businesses, leveraging platforms such as the Africa Business Leaders Coalition and Global Africa Business Initiative, supporting programmatic partnerships, providing day-to-day programme delivery expertise to Country Networks, promoting cross-country learning, and supporting programme monitoring and reporting.

Applicants should have strong experience in programme coordination, sustainability, private sector engagement, partnership development and regional programme delivery. Experience working with UN systems, Global Compact Local Networks, sustainability initiatives or private sector development programmes will be an advantage.
