CONSULTANCY SUMMARY

Terre des hommes Nigeria seeks a consultant to strengthen its strategic and programmatic positioning for the ECHO Humanitarian Implementation Plan 2027 in Education in Emergencies and Child Protection in Emergencies. The hybrid assignment is expected to run from September to November 2026, combining remote work with approximately ten working days in Nigeria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review ECHO priorities, previous Humanitarian Implementation Plans and relevant humanitarian planning documents.
  • Analyse humanitarian needs, response gaps and geographic priorities in Education in Emergencies and Child Protection in Emergencies.
  • Develop methodologies and data-collection tools and produce high-quality contextual analysis.
  • Assess Tdh Nigeria’s current positioning, comparative advantages and capacity gaps.
  • Map stakeholders and support development of a response strategy with Tdh teams and consortium partners.
  • Develop realistic positioning scenarios and integrated EiE and CPiE approaches.
  • Prepare a preliminary technical package that can be rapidly adapted after publication of the ECHO HIP 2027.

CONSULTANT PROFILE

  • Demonstrated experience in humanitarian analysis, strategic positioning and programme design.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Education in Emergencies and Child Protection in Emergencies.
  • Experience with ECHO priorities, proposal processes or comparable institutional donors.
  • Proven ability to facilitate consortium or partner processes and produce high-quality technical documentation.
  • Availability for the hybrid assignment and required in-country work.
