ABOUT WOMEN TOO AFRICA FOUNDATION

Women Too Africa Foundation is inviting applications for Community Trust Anchors under the ROOTS Project across Oyo, Lagos, Osun and Ekiti States. Community Trust Anchors are trusted women who will help strengthen civic dialogue, facilitate community conversations and connect local voices to a wider women’s civic-solidarity network.

JOB SUMMARY

The Community Trust Anchor will serve as a trusted local focal person who supports women’s participation in civic dialogue. Selected anchors will facilitate Community Town Halls, represent community perspectives and contribute to the Southwest Women’s Civic Solidarity Network. The role requires an active, community-connected woman who can listen, communicate and mobilise participation responsibly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and support constructive civic dialogue within the community.
  • Facilitate Community Town Halls and encourage meaningful participation by women.
  • Listen to community concerns and help ensure local perspectives are represented.
  • Serve as a trusted connection between community members and the ROOTS Project.
  • Represent the community within the Southwest Women’s Civic Solidarity Network.
  • Participate fully in the required residential training and subsequent programme activities.
  • Communicate respectfully, maintain trust and handle community information responsibly.

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicant must be a woman.
  • Must live in Oyo, Lagos, Osun or Ekiti State.
  • Must be actively involved in a community group, association or network.
  • Must be available for a five-day residential training in Ibadan.
  • Should be trusted within her community and willing to support inclusive civic participation.
  • Must be able to complete the application in English or Yoruba.
