Position Description & Requirements
JOB SUMMARY
The ICRC is recruiting a Community Contact Center Operator for a four-month fixed-term maternity-cover contract in Abuja. The operator will receive questions, complaints and feedback from people across Nigeria, share accurate information about ICRC programmes and support accountability to affected populations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to calls, understand callers’ concerns and resolve or refer cases appropriately.
- Make outgoing calls to people affected by conflict and violence to assess satisfaction and perceptions.
- Record complete and accurate details of every call in the required database.
- Follow up complaints and referrals and provide timely feedback to affected people.
- Contribute to statistics and reports that identify trends, issues and areas for improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of ICRC programmes, eligibility criteria, guidance and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in English, Hausa and Kanuri.
- Knowledge of Shuwa Arab, Pidgin or Fulfulde is an advantage.
- Understanding of humanitarian issues in Nigeria, confidentiality and knowledge management.
- Experience with online dashboards or humanitarian technology is desirable.
