Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organisation implementing emergency and development programmes across Nigeria.
JOB SUMMARY
The Head of Audit, Risk, Compliance and Safeguarding will oversee risk management, internal controls, audits, fraud prevention, compliance and safeguarding systems for Action Against Hunger’s Nigeria Country Office. The position reports to the Country Director and provides strategic advice to senior management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead implementation of the Country Office risk-management framework and risk register.
- Coordinate annual risk assessments and advise senior management on mitigation priorities.
- Coordinate donor, governmental and external audit responses.
- Develop and implement the annual internal-audit plan.
- Monitor implementation of recommendations arising from internal and external audits.
- Strengthen organisational internal controls and compliance systems.
- Lead fraud and corruption prevention, reporting and investigation processes.
- Lead implementation of ACF safeguarding policies and systems.
- Ensure safeguarding concerns are managed confidentially and using survivor-centred approaches.
- Supervise and develop the ARC and Safeguarding team.
- Provide regular compliance, safeguarding and risk reporting to senior management and headquarters.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management, Law, Finance or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CIPFA, CRMA or CISA are advantageous.
- At least seven years of relevant experience in audit, risk management, compliance and donor-funded programmes.
- Strong understanding of donor requirements, grants, budgeting and project-management systems.
- Experience with international humanitarian or development organisations.
- Excellent analytical, investigation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong written and spoken English.
