Assistant, Transportation

Helen Keller International is recruiting an Assistant, Transportation to support safe and reliable movement of staff, visitors, materials and programme supplies in Adamawa, Borno and Niger States.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate assigned vehicles safely and follow organisational transport and security procedures.
• Transport staff, visitors, materials and supplies to approved destinations and project sites.
• Complete vehicle logbooks accurately and report maintenance, fuel and safety concerns.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and help keep the assigned vehicle clean and serviceable.
• Support loading and unloading of programme materials when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
• Approximately 5–6 years of relevant professional driving experience.
• Valid driver's licence and sound knowledge of road-safety requirements.
• Familiarity with the duty location and experience working with an NGO are advantages.
• Professional conduct, reliability and awareness of safety and security risks.
