Position Description & Requirements

NBO Foundation works on community-focused initiatives across areas including education, healthcare, youth empowerment, community development and environmental sustainability.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Programs Manager will support the Programs Manager in coordinating projects and social-impact activities. The role requires strong organization, follow-up, documentation and stakeholder-management skills, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple projects, activities and deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Support the planning, coordination and implementation of community-development and social-impact programmes.
2.Assist with development of project work plans, activity schedules, implementation trackers and other programme documents.
3.Coordinate programme activities and follow up with team members, partners and stakeholders to ensure agreed tasks are completed on time.
4.Support community projects, social-impact initiatives, CSR activities and development programmes.
5.Assist with organizing meetings, field activities, workshops, community engagements and other programme events.
6.Maintain accurate programme records, project trackers, meeting notes, reports and other documentation.
7.Prepare programme updates, activity reports and other documents required by management and stakeholders.
8.Support stakeholder communication and maintain effective follow-up with programme partners and other relevant contacts.
9.Track programme activities, deadlines, deliverables and outstanding action points.
10.Support the Programs Manager in monitoring implementation progress and identifying issues that require attention.
11.Assist with administrative and operational requirements connected to programme delivery.
12.Participate in field visits and community-based activities when required.
13.Use Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project trackers and other productivity tools to support programme coordination.
14.Work collaboratively with the programme team while also managing assigned responsibilities independently.
15.Perform other programme-related duties assigned by the Programs Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications or a related field.
2.2–4 years of relevant experience in programme coordination, project management, NGO/nonprofit operations, community development, administration or a related role.
3.Experience supporting community projects, social-impact initiatives, CSR programmes or development projects is an advantage.
4.Strong organizational and administrative skills.
5.Excellent attention to detail.
6.Good written and verbal communication skills.
7.Ability to coordinate several projects, activities and deadlines simultaneously.
8.Strong follow-up and stakeholder-management skills.
9.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
10.Ability to use project trackers and other productivity tools.
11.Ability to prepare clear reports, meeting notes, project updates and related documentation.
12.Willingness to participate in field visits and community-based activities.
13.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
14.Proactive, resourceful, dependable and solution-oriented approach.
15.Strong interest in community development and social impact.
