JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant Intern will support routine office and programme administration, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, filing, data organisation and the preparation of operational documents. This is a 12-month internship/NYSC learning placement based in Abuja.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to office and programme teams.
  • Assist with meeting logistics, attendance records, agendas, minutes and follow-up documentation.
  • Support travel and hotel arrangements for authorised staff, consultants and visitors.
  • Maintain orderly electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Help organise programme and administrative data, trackers and supporting records.
  • Prepare and track administrative forms and routine documentation.
  • Support the coordination of programme meetings, workshops and other events.
  • Assist with preparing documents, presentations, trackers and routine reports.
  • Handle assigned information carefully and maintain confidentiality.
  • Complete other relevant learning and administrative tasks under supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Management, Public Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Applicant must be a Nigerian national.
  • Current NYSC member with a valid deployment to Abuja, or a graduate who completed NYSC within the last one to two years.
  • Previous administrative exposure is an advantage but is not essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organisation, record-keeping and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
  • Careful attention to detail and willingness to learn in a multicultural work environment.
